     He served with distinction in Burna, the Baltic and China.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria between 1878 and 1880.¹ He lived at Mount House, Brasted, Kent, England^G.¹

     Louisa Mary Harrison was the daughter of John Slater Harrison.¹ She married, firstly, Captain Rowland Forman.¹ She married, secondly, Rear-Adm. Henry Hamilton Beamish, son of Reverend Henry Hamilton Beamish and Anne Isabella Spread, on 5 April 1864.¹ She died on 25 May 1865.¹
     Her married name became Forman.¹ From 5 April 1864, her married name became Beamish.¹

     Captain Rowland Forman married Louisa Mary Harrison, daughter of John Slater Harrison.¹ He died before 5 April 1864, when his widow remarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹
