     He was educated Rugby.¹ He was Major 5th Battalion Cameronians, memb Royal County Archers, CA, MIAA Glasgow , Sr Ptnr Brown, Fleming & Murray, Glasgow and London, Pres London Tin Corporation Ltd, dir Utd Br Securities Trust, London and Provincial Trust, London & Clydesdale Trus in 1914.¹ He was Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Gwendoline Helen Donaldson is the daughter of W Cattanach Donaldson.² She married John Ivan Spens, son of John Alexander Spens and Sophie Nicol Baird, in 1915.¹

     (William) Peter Spens was born on 26 March 1918.¹ He was the son of John Ivan Spens and Gwendoline Helen Donaldson.² He married Norah Wallen, daughter of F L Wallen, on 11 September 1953.¹ He died on 5 July 1964 at age 46.¹
     He was educated Rugby.¹ He lived in 2003 at Orwelldene, Nacton, nr Ipswich, Suffolk.¹
