     Dorothy Theresa Selwyn is the daughter of Rt. Rev. John Richardson Selwyn.2 She married Sir Will Spens, son of John Alexander Spens and Sophie Nicol Baird, on 9 July 1912.1
     From 9 July 1912, her married name became Spens. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1963.1

He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1945 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Resident Engineer, Torpedo Factory in 1939 at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 He lived in 2003 at Brooksyde, Water Green, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England.1

     Hugh Baird Spens was born on 1 January 1885.1 He was the son of John Alexander Spens and Sophie Nicol Baird.2 He married Margaret Emily Black, daughter of John Albert Black, on 3 September 1912.1 He died on 19 February 1958 at age 73.1
     He was Colonel Territorial Army (ret), Brigadier Royal County Archers, Honour Sheriff Substitute Stirlingshire, chairman Glasgow and W Scotland Price Regulation , Dean Faculty Procurators Glasgow 1946–49, WW I (despatches) with 5th Battalion Cameronians, Ctee 1940.1 He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)
