     James Winter Scott was born on 26 May 1799.¹ He was the son of James Scott and Martha Winter.² He married Lucy Jervoise, daughter of Sir Samuel Clarke Jervoise, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Griffenhoofe, on 24 January 1828.¹ He died on 4 January 1873 at age 73.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Hampshire between 1832 and 1837.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1864.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.¹ He lived at Rotherfield Park, Hampshire, England.¹

     Sophia Nares was born in 1767.¹ She was the daughter of Sir George Nares and Mary Strange.¹ She married Admiral D'Arcy Preston on 29 November 1792 at St. Michael's CHurch, Begbroke, Oxfordshire, England.¹ She died on 17 November 1832 at Askham Bryan, Yorkshire, England.¹
     From 29 November 1792, her married name became Preston.¹

     Lucy Jervoise was born circa 1811.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Samuel Clarke Jervoise, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Griffenhoofe.^2,3 She married James Winter Scott, son of James Scott and Martha Winter, on 24 January 1828.¹ She died on 19 January 1901.¹
     From 24 January 1828, her married name became Scott.

     Ethel Zoe Hayward was born in 1864 at Tunstall, Suffolk, England.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Frederick Lawson Hayward and Elizabeth Stoddart Hind.^1,2 She married Francis John Woodhouse Wood, son of John Richard Wood and Frances Isabella Woodhouse, in 1893 at Plomesgate, Suffolk, England.¹
     From 1893, her married name became Wood.¹

     Reverend Frederick Lawson Hayward was born circa 1835 at Needham Market, Suffolk, England.¹ He married Elizabeth Stoddart Hind in 1859 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He died in 1904 at Plomesgate, Suffolk, England.¹
     He was Rector at Tunstall, Suffolk, England.¹

     Walter Jervoise Scott was born on 3 April 1835.¹ He was the son of James Winter Scott and Lucy Jervoise.² He died on 26 June 1890 at age 55, unmarried.¹

     Reverend Charles James Scott was baptised on 2 April 1837.¹ He was the son of James Winter Scott and Lucy Jervoise.² He married Ruth Caldwell, daughter of Robert Caldwell, on 23 April 1874.¹ He died on 10 May 1899 at age 62, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Rector at East Tisted, Hampshire, England.¹ He lived at Rotherfield Park, Alton, Hampshire, England.¹ He lived at Forres, Morayshire, Scotland.¹
