     Herbert Robin Cayzer, 2nd Baron Rotherwick was born on 5 December 1912.1 He was the son of Herbert Robin Cayzer, 1st Baron Rotherwick and Freda Penelope Rathborne.1 He married Sarah Jane Slade, daughter of Sir Michael Nial Slade, 6th Bt. and Angela Clare Rosalind Chichester, on 4 April 1952.2 He died on 11 June 1996 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1935 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, in the Middle East.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Scots Guards.1 He was deputy chairman of Caledonia Investments and British and Commonwealth Shipping.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Rotherwick, of Tynley, co. Southampton [U.K., 1939] on 16 March 1958.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cayzer [U.K., 1924] on 16 March 1958.1 He was director of Cayzer Steel Bowater Holdings between 1974 and 1996.1
