Robert William Romer was born on 5 September 1817 at Surat, India^G.¹ He was the son of John Romer and Margaret Stewart Anderson.¹ He married Frances Clarissa Simons, daughter of James Simons, on 22 February 1853 at Kandy, Sri Lanka^G.¹ He died on 2 December 1888 at age 71 at Dolgelly, Merionethshire, Wales^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in 1853 in the 59th Regiment.¹ He was Private Secretary to the Governor of Ceylon, his uncle, Sir George William Anderson.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 5th Regiment.^1,2 He lived at Bryncelyn, Merionethshire, Wales^G.²

     Edmund Berkeley Drummond was born on 9 January 1867.¹ He was the son of Edward Drummond and Lucy Marion Barnard.¹ He married Mabel Tuke, daughter of Reverend Francis Edward Tuke, on 6 June 1888.¹ He died on 11 June 1961 at age 94.¹
