     He lived at Primrose Hill, Utkinton, Tarporley, Cheshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was also known as Donald George Emerson.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹
