     Maelduin, King of Ailech was the son of Áed 'Oirdnide', High King of Ireland and Maedhbh (?)2 He died in 867.1
     He gained the title of King of Ailech after 846.1 He was a monk.1

Fachtna (?)1

     Fachtna (?) was the son of Maelduin, King of Ailech.2 He died in 868 at Killaderry, Ireland, killed fighting for his cousin King Aedh Finnlaith in his victory over the Meath men and Dublin Norsemen.1
     He was heir to the Northern Kingdom (Rigdomna in Fochla.)1
