Máel Fithrich, King of Ailech was the son of Áed 'Uaridnach', High King of Ireland.2 He died in 630, killed in action by Suibhne's brother, Ernaine.1
He gained the title of King of Ailech in 628.3

Máel Dúin, King of Ailech was the son of Máel Fithrich, King of Ailech.2 He married Cacht (?), daughter of Maelcobha, King of Tir Conaill.3 He died in 681, killed at Battle at Leathairbhe against his kinsman Congal. King of Tir Conaill.1
He gained the title of King of Ailech in 671.3 In 677 he killed Dunchad, King of Oriel.3 He burnt Dun-Ceithirn and in it Dunghal, King of the Irish Picts, also Cenndaeladh, King of Keenaght.3

Fergal, High King of Ireland was the son of Máel Dúin, King of Ailech and Cacht (?)1,2 He married, firstly, unknown daughter (?), daughter of Congal 'Cennmagair', High King of Ireland.3 He married, secondly, Athiocht (?), daughter of Cian, King of Keenaght.3 He died in 722, killed leading 21,000 men against the Leinstermen at Allen in Kildare.1
He was a member of the House of Cenél nEógain.1 In 710 he defeated the southern Ui Neill of Meath in Armagh.3 He succeeded as the High King of Ireland in 710.1
