Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Bingham Lowther, 4th Bt. was born on 22 July 1880.2 He was the son of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham.2 He married, firstly, Marjory Noel Fielden, daughter of Thomas Fielden and Martha Knowles, on 14 April 1909.2 He married, secondly, Ruth Kynaston Mainwaring, daughter of Major Charles Francis Kynaston Mainwaring and Mary Sybil Rankin, on 3 November 1936.1 He died on 22 January 1949 at age 68.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Lowther, of Swillington, co. York [U.K., 1824] on 6 November 1894.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1917 and 1920 in the Northamptonshire Yeomanry.2 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Denbighshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Denbighshire.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1926.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1948.2

Cecilia O'Keefe was born circa 1805.1 She was the daughter of Charles O'Keefe and Letitia Yelverton.1,2 She married Barry John Yelverton, 3rd Viscount Avonmore, son of William Charles Yelverton, 2nd Viscount Avonmore and Mary Reade, on 1 August 1822.1 She died on 1 February 1876 at Tritonville, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
