     Richard Archibald Fortescue, 7th Earl Fortescue was born on 14 April 1922.¹ He was the son of Denzil George Fortescue, 6th Earl Fortescue and Marjorie Ellinor Trotter.¹ He married, firstly, Penelope Jane Henderson, daughter of Robert Evelyn Henderson, on 24 October 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Anne Stratton, daughter of Captain Charles Michael Stratton and Anne Drummond, on 3 March 1961.³ He and Margaret Anne Stratton were divorced in 1987.³ He married, thirdly, Carolyn Mary Hill, daughter of Major Clement Walter Rowland Hill and Violet Alice Valentine Phillimore, on 5 January 1989.³ He died on 7 March 1993 at age 70.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill, co. Devon [G.B., 1746] on 1 June 1977.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Ebrington, co. Gloucester [G.B., 1789] on 1 June 1977.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Earl Fortescue [G.B., 1789] on 1 June 1977.¹

     Georgina Penelope Anne Adams was born in 1990.¹ She is the daughter of David Alastair Adams and Lady Celia Ann Fortescue.¹

     Penelope Jane Henderson was the daughter of Robert Evelyn Henderson.¹ She married Richard Archibald Fortescue, 7th Earl Fortescue, son of Denzil George Fortescue, 6th Earl Fortescue and Marjorie Ellinor Trotter, on 24 October 1949.¹ She died on 28 May 1959.¹
     Her married name became Fortescue.

     Charles Hugh Richard Fortescue, 8th Earl Fortescue was born on 10 May 1951.¹ He is the son of Richard Archibald Fortescue, 7th Earl Fortescue and Penelope Jane Henderson.² He married Julia B. Sowrey, daughter of A/Cdre. John Adam Sowrey and Audrey A. E. Harper, on 12 December 1974.¹

Gloucester [G.B., 1789] on 7 March 1993.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill, co. Devon [G.B., 1746] on 7 March 1993.¹ He lived in 2003 at Ebrington Manor, Ebrington, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Margaret Anne Stratton was born in 1933.² She is the daughter of Captain Charles Michael Stratton and Anne Drummond.^1,2 She married, firstly, Richard Archibald Fortescue, 7th Earl Fortescue, son of Denzil George Fortescue, 6th Earl Fortescue and Marjorie Ellinor Trotter, on 3 March 1961.³ She and Richard Archibald Fortescue, 7th Earl Fortescue were divorced in 1987.³ She married, secondly, Jocelyn Olaf Hambro, son of Ronald Olaf Hambro and Winifred Emily Ridley-Smith, on 28 January 1988.¹
     Her married name became Fortescue. After her marriage, Margaret Anne Stratton was styled as Countess Fortescue on 1 June 1977. From 28 January 1988, her married name became Hambro.¹

     Julia B. Sowrey is the daughter of A/Cdre. John Adam Sowrey and Audrey A. E. Harper.^1,2 She married Charles Hugh Richard Fortescue, 8th Earl Fortescue, son of Richard Archibald Fortescue, 7th Earl Fortescue and Penelope Jane Henderson, on 12 December 1974.¹
     From 12 December 1974, her married name became Fortescue. After her marriage, Julia B. Sowrey was styled as Countess Fortescue on 7 March 1993.

     Lady Alice Penelope Fortescue was born on 8 June 1978.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Hugh Richard Fortescue, 8th Earl Fortescue and Julia B. Sowrey.¹

     Lady Kate Eleanor Fortescue was born on 25 October 1979.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Hugh Richard Fortescue, 8th Earl Fortescue and Julia B. Sowrey.¹ She married Oliver Henry Bonas, son of Benjamin Reginald Francis Stonor Bonas and Jacqueline A. J. de Brabant.²
     Her married name became Bonas.²
