Thomas Truman Oliphant was born on 2 July 1839.1 He was the son of Robert Oliphant and Susan Mary Elizabeth Tod.1 He married Georgina Elizabeth Mansfield, daughter of Reverend Joseph Mansfield and Emily Louisa Trench, on 23 February 1870.1 He died on 31 March 1902 at age 62.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Bengal Staff Corps.1 He fought in the Umbeyla Campaign|with the 1st Punjab Infantry (Rifles), and was mentioned in despatches in 1863.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.1

Robert Oliphant was born in 1810.1 He was the son of James Stuart Oliphant of Rossie and Anna Reade.1 He married Susan Mary Elizabeth Tod, daughter of Thomas Tod, in 1836.1 He died on 14 November 1872.1
