     Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir David Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Dun.² He married Margaret Ogilvy, daughter of James Ogilvy of Muirton and Cluny and Catherine Nairne, in 1697.¹ He died circa 1735.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Ogilvy, of Inverquharity, Forfarshire [N.S., 1626] circa 1679.¹

     Athole Burnett was born in 1822 at Isle of Man.¹ He married Louisa Costley Ommanney, daughter of Manaton Collingwood Ommanney and Louisa Engleheart Costley, on 22 October 1870 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.¹

     Margaret Ogilvy is the daughter of James Ogilvy of Muirton and Cluny and Catherine Nairne.² She married Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 3rd Bt., son of Sir David Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Dun, in 1697.¹

     Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt. is the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Ogilvy.² He married, secondly, Anne Carnegie, daughter of James Carnegie and Violet Naesmyth.¹ He married, firstly, Helen Mercer, daughter of Sir Laurence Mercer of Aldie and Helen Mercer of Aldie, in 1720.¹ He died in February 1748, having by her had, with another dau:.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Ogilvy, of Inverquharity, Forfarshire [N.S., 1626] circa 1735.¹

     Helen Mercer was baptised on 13 May 1696 at St. Martins, Perth, Perthshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Sir Laurence Mercer of Aldie and Helen Mercer of Aldie.^1,3 She married Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Ogilvy, in 1720.¹
     From 1720, her married name became Ogilvy.

     Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 5th Bt. is the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt. and Helen Mercer.² He married Charlotte Tulliedelph, daughter of Walter Tulliedelph of Tulliedeph, in 1754.¹ He died on 15 March 1802.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Ogilvy, of Inverquharity, Forfarshire [N.S., 1626] in February 1748.¹ He sold the lands of Inverquharity.¹

     Brig.-Gen. David Ogilvy was the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt. and Helen Mercer.² He died on 30 May 1781 at Sint Eustatia.¹
     He gained the rank of Brigadier-General. He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746.¹ He held the office of Governor of St. Eustatia.¹

     Thomas Ogilvy is the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt. and Helen Mercer.²
     He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746, as Jacobite.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the French service.¹

     Anne Carnegie was the daughter of James Carnegie and Violet Naesmyth.² She married Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Ogilvy.¹ She died on 1 December 1750.¹
     Her married name became Ogilvy.

     Charles Ogilvy is the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 4th Bt. and Anne Carnegie.²
