Kathleen Clarke was the daughter of General Sir Charles Mansfield Clarke, 3rd Bt. and Gemma Cecilia Adams.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir Francis Richard Bingham, son of Charles George Bingham, 4th Earl of Lucan and Lady Cecilia Catherine Gordon-Lennox, on 10 June 1896.1 She died on 18 September 1963.1

General Sir Charles Mansfield Clarke, 3rd Bt. was born on 13 December 1839.2 He was the son of Reverend Sir Charles Clarke, 2nd Bt. and Rosa Mary Alexander.2 He married, firstly, Gemma Cecilia Adams, daughter of William Pitt Adams and Georgiana Lukin, on 19 December 1867.2 He married, secondly, Constance Marion Warner, daughter of Herbert Warner, on 26 April 1929.2 He died on 22 April 1932 at age 92.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He was Deputy Assistant Master-General of the New Plymouth District, New Zealand.3 He was Commandant-General of the Colonial Forces of the Cape of Good Hope between 1880 and 1882.2 He was AAQMG Aldershot between 1883 and 1884.2 He was AAG HQ between 1884 and 1886.2 He was Deputy Adjutant-General, Ireland between 1886 and 1888.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1889 in the Aldershot.2 He was Deputy Adjutant-General, HQ in 1892.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Madras Army between 1893 and 1895.2 He held the office of Member of the Council Governing Madras between 1893 and 1895.1 He was Lieutenant-General of the Madras Army between 1895 and 1898.2 Between 1899 and 1903 Quarter-Master General.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Clarke, of Dunham Lodge, co. Sir Francis Richard Bingham and Kathleen Clarke.1 He married Evangeline Marguerite Ladys Elliot, daughter of Colonel William Henry Wilson Elliot, on 15 November 1927.1 He died on 5 July 1981 at age 82 at Ipswich, Suffolk, England.2
