     Maud Ann Sophia Steward was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Charles Samuel Steward and Eliza Ducarol Constance Hamilton.² She married Murray Babington Steuart, son of George Steuart and Susan Alexander McAlpine, on 17 October 1904.¹ She died on 13 December 1962.²
     From 17 October 1904, her married name became Steuart. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Staff Corps.¹ He was also known as Steuart as of 31 October 1893.
