     Thomas Henderson Babington was born on 15 May 1813.1 He was the son of Reverend Richard Babington and Mary Boyle.1 He married Alice Amelia Ackers in 1840.1 He died on 2 August 1869 at age 56.1
     He was educated at Foyle College, Duncreggan, County Londonderry, IrelandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (F.R.C.S.I.)1 He held the office of Mayor of Derry.1
