     He was educated at Faraday House Engineering College, England^G.¹ He graduated with a FHDip.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Electricial and Mechanical Engineers.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Eleanor Anna Maria Glegg was born circa 1819.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Birkenhead Glegg and Sarah Barnard.¹ She married Major George Edward Turner, son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Turner and Harriett Ann Stevenson, on 25 July 1845 at St. Peter's, Eaton Square, London, England.¹ She died in 1849.¹
