     Mary de Ergadia Macdougall was the daughter of Ewen Macdougall, 3rd of Dunollie and of Lorn.2 She married, firstly, Magnus Olavson, King of Man.1 She married, secondly, Malise, 5th Earl of Strathearn, son of Robert, 4th Earl of Strathearn, in 1268.1 She married by contract, thirdly, Hugh Abernethy of that Ilk, son of Laurence de Abernethy and Devorgulle (?), on 5 April 1281.2 She married, fourthly, William FitzWarin before 10 April 1299.1 She died before 10 October 1303.2

Magnus Olavson, King of Man1

     Magnus Olavson, King of Man married Mary de Ergadia Macdougall, daughter of Ewen Macdougall, 3rd of Dunollie and of Lorn.1 He died in 1265.2
     He gained the title of King Magnus of Man in 1249.1

Sir John Macdougall, 5th of Dunollie and of Lorn1

     Sir John Macdougall, 5th of Dunollie and of Lorn was the son of Sir Alexander Macdougall, 4th of Dunollie and of Lorn and Julienne Comyn.2 He died circa 1317.1
     Sir John Macdougall, 5th of Dunollie and of Lorn also went by the nick-name of Ian 'Bacach' (or in English, Lame John.)1 In 1291 he swore fealty to King Edward I.1 In 1306 he defeated King Robert I at Dalree and won from him his brooch, now known as the ‘Brooch of Lorn.1' He held the office of Admiral of the English Fleet in the Western Seas from 1314 to 1315, to King Edward II.1 In 1315 he captured the Isle of Man.1
