     He was educated in 1920 at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1946, with West African Expeditionary Force in India and Burma.¹ He was a teacher.¹ He was an administration officer to Department of Labour between 1947 and 1950.¹ He lived in 2003 at 5 Summersdale Court, Chichester, Sussex, England^G.¹
