Charles Stuart Henry Abbott, 4th Baron Tenterden was born on 30 October 1865.1 He was the son of Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden and Penelope Mary Gertrude Smyth.1 He married Elfrida Charlotte Turner, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Alfred Turner, on 10 January 1906.1 He died on 16 September 1939 at age 73.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Tenterden, of Hendon in the county of Middlesex [U.K., 1827] on 22 September 1882.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Yorkand Lancaster Regiment.1
