     He was educated between 1929 and 1931 at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.^G.² He was a jazz producer.¹

     Benjamin David Goodman was born on 30 May 1909 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.² He was the son of David Goodman and Dora Grisinsky.² He married Alice Frances Hammond, daughter of John Henry Hammond and Emily Vanderbilt Sloane, on 14 March 1942.¹ He died on 13 June 1986 at age 77.²
