Denis Stewart Hickman was born on 28 February 1918.1 He was the son of Wilfred Haden Hickman and Kathleen Mary Stuart Nason.2 He married, firstly, Peggy Barbara Saunders, daughter of John Ernest Sanders, on 13 October 1947.1 He and Peggy Barbara Saunders were divorced in 1964.1 He married, secondly, Jean Urwin, daughter of A. Urwin, on 25 March 1965.1 He died on 30 March 1995 at age 77.1
