     Louisa Washington was the daughter of Colonel Warner Washington and Hannah Fairfax.¹ She married Thomas Fairfax, son of Reverend Bryan Fairfax, 8th Lord Fairfax of Cameron and Elizabeth Cary, in February 1798.¹ She died on 28 April 1798, without issue.¹
     From February 1798, her married name became Fairfax.¹

     Charles William Hope was born on 23 January 1832.¹ He was the son of James Hope and Elizabeth Boyle.² He married Lucy Harriet King, daughter of Robert King, on 15 January 1874.¹ He died on 16 February 1904 at age 72.¹
     He was civil engineer with the Public Works Department, India.¹

     Lucy Harriet King was the daughter of Robert King.² She married Charles William Hope, son of James Hope and Elizabeth Boyle, on 15 January 1874.¹ She died on 27 January 1882.¹
     From 15 January 1874, her married name became Hope.

     Adrian James Robert Hope was born on 3 November 1874.¹ He was the son of Charles William Hope and Lucy Harriet King.² He married Jessie Newall McLellan, daughter of David McLellan, on 19 August 1914.¹ He died on 8 March 1963 at age 88.¹
     He was India Service of Engineers, Burma.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1922.¹

     Jessie Newall McLellan was the daughter of David McLellan.² She married, firstly, Major David James Welsh before 1914.¹ She married, secondly, Adrian James Robert Hope, son of Charles William Hope and Lucy Harriet King, on 19 August 1914.¹ She died on 21 March 1950.¹
     From before 1914, her married name became Welsh.¹ From 19 August 1914, her married name became Hope.

     Charles Adrian Hope was born on 9 June 1918.¹ He was the son of Adrian James Robert Hope and Jessie Newall McLellan.² He married Susan Elizabeth Rona Kruse, daughter of Eric Cuthbert Kruse, on 30 May 1951.¹ He died on 16 January 1986 at age 67 at Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th/5th Royal Scots Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹ He was registered as a Associate, Royal institute of British Architects (A.R.I.B.A.) in 1949.¹

     Eric Cuthbert Kruse lived at Winsham, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Susan Elizabeth Rona Kruse is the daughter of Eric Cuthbert Kruse.² She married Charles Adrian Hope, son of Adrian James Robert Hope and Jessie Newall McLellan, on 30 May 1951.¹
     From 30 May 1951, her married name became Hope. She lived in 2003 at 23 Ann Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹
