     Matilda Eliza Moffat Bayard was born circa 1802.2 She was the daughter of Colonel John Bayard and Martha P. Moffatt.1,2 She married Alexander William Robert Bosville, son of Lt.-Gen. Godfrey Bosville Macdonald, 3rd Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Maria la Coast, on 10 July 1823.1 She died in July 1859.3
     From 10 July 1823, her married name became Bosville.1

     Godfrey William Wentworth Bosville Macdonald, 4th Baron Macdonald of Slate was born on 16 March 1809 at London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Godfrey Bosville Macdonald, 3rd Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Maria la Coast.1 He was baptised on 14 August 1809 at Notting Hill, London, EnglandG.1 He married Maria Anne Wyndham, daughter of George Thomas Wyndham and Maria Augusta Windham, on 21 August 1845 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 25 July 1863 at age 54 at Bessingby Hall, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
     He was educated between 1823 and 1827 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Macdonald of Slate, co. Antrim [I., 1776] on 13 October 1832.1

     Maria Anne Wyndham was born in 1819 at Kingston House, Knightsbridge, London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of George Thomas Wyndham and Maria Augusta Windham.1 She married Godfrey William Wentworth Bosville Macdonald, 4th Baron Macdonald of Slate, son of Lt.-Gen. Godfrey Bosville Macdonald, 3rd Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Maria la Coast, on 21 August 1845 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 21 April 1892 at 26 Clifton Gardens, Folkstone, Kent, EnglandG.1 She was buried at Folkstone, Kent, EnglandG.1
     From 21 August 1845, her married name became Bosville Macdonald.1 After her marriage, Maria Anne Wyndham was styled as Baroness Macdonald of Slate on 21 August 1845. She held the office of Lady of the Bedchamber between 1855 and 1863.1

     George Godfrey Bosville Macdonald was born on 17 May 1861.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. James William Bosville Macdonald and Hon. Elizabeth Nina Blake.1 He died on 18 July 1930 at age 69.1
     He held the office of Page of Honour to HM Queen Victoria.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1

Hersey Alice Eveleigh-de Moleyns was born on 31 March 1867.1 She was the daughter of Dayrolles Blakeney Eveleigh-de Moleyns, 4th Baron Ventry and Harriet Elizabeth Frances Wauchope.2 She married John Adrian Louis Hope, 1st Marquess of Linlithgow, son of John Alexander Hope, 6th Earl of Hopetoun and Ethelred Anne Birch Reynardson, on 18 October 1886.1 She died on 3 April 1937 at age 70.1
     Her married name became Hope. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)2

     John Hope, 5th Earl of Hopetoun was born on 15 November 1803.1 He was the son of General John Hope, 4th Earl of Hopetoun and Louisa Dorothea Wedderburn.1 He was baptised on 8 December 1803 at Abercorn, West Lothian, ScotlandG.2 He married Louisa Bosville Macdonald, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Godfrey Bosville Macdonald, 3rd Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Maria la Coast, on 4 June 1826.3 He died on 8 April 1843 at age 39.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Niddry of Niddry, co. Godfrey Bosville Macdonald, 3rd Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Maria la Coast.1 She married Duncan Davidson, 4th of Tulloch, son of Henry Davidson of Tulloch and Caroline Elizabeth Diffel, on 20 June 1825.1 She died on 9 June 1839 at age 35.3
     Her married name became Davidson.
