Major George Seymour Crole was born illegitimately on 23 August 1799 at Chelsea, London, England.1,2 He was the son of George IV Hanover, King of the United Kingdom and Eliza Fox.1 He died on 13 June 1863 at age 63 at Sun Hotel, Chatham, Kent, England, unmarried.1
He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was commissioned in 1817 with the rank of Ensign, in the service of the 21st Dragoons.2 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1818 in the 11th Dragoons.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1820.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1823 in the 41st Regiment.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1826.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 28th Regiment.1
