     Arthur St. Quintin Forbes was born on 16 March 1846.¹ He was the son of Hon. Robert Forbes and Frances Dorothy Hodges.² He married Alice Margaret Whitelaw, daughter of Reverend J. M. Whitelaw, on 15 August 1876.¹

     Reverend J. M. Whitelaw graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹

     Alice Margaret Whitelaw is the daughter of Reverend J. M. Whitelaw.² She married Arthur St. Quintin Forbes, son of Hon. Robert Forbes and Frances Dorothy Hodges, on 15 August 1876.¹
     From 15 August 1876, her married name became Forbes.

     Bertie St. John Ochoncar Forbes was born in 1882.¹ He was the son of Arthur St. Quintin Forbes and Alice Margaret Whitelaw.² He married Margaret Smith in 1902.¹ He died in 1953.¹

     Margaret Smith married Bertie St. John Ochoncar Forbes, son of Arthur St. Quintin Forbes and Alice Margaret Whitelaw, in 1902.¹ She died in 1946.¹
     From 1902, her married name became Forbes.

     Major Bertie St. John Ochoncar Forbes was born in 1918.¹ He was the son of Bertie St. John Ochoncar Forbes and Margaret Smith.² He married Anne More Crozer in 1942.¹ He died in 1998.³
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army and Royal Scots.¹
