Jane Alice Amelia Elphinstone was the daughter of Admiral John Elphinstone and Amelia Warburton.2 She married Reverend John Dymoke, 27th of Scrivelsby, son of John Dymoke, 25th of Scrivelsby, on 19 July 1799.1,3 She died on 26 April 1856.3

Reverend John Dymoke, 27th of Scrivelsby was born in 1764.2 He was the son of John Dymoke, 25th of Scrivelsby. He married Jane Alice Amelia Elphinstone, daughter of Admiral John Elphinstone and Amelia Warburton, on 19 July 1799.1,2 He died on 3 December 1828.2

Sir Howard Elphinstone, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 June 1804.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Howard Elphinstone, 1st Bt. and Frances Warburton.2 He married Elizabeth Julia Curteis, daughter of E. J. Curteis, on 30 September 1829.1 He died on 16 March 1893 at age 88.1
He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hastings between 1835 and 1837.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lewes between 1841 and 1847.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Elphinstone, of Sowerby, Cumberland [U.K., 1816] on 28 April 1846.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)1
