     Hon. Elwyn Villiers Rhys was born on 19 December 1900.¹ He was the son of Walter FitzUryan Rhys, 7th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Lady Margaret Child-Villiers.² He married Diana Stanley, daughter of Major Roger Cyril Hans Sloane Stanley, on 14 July 1931.¹ He died on 10 January 1966 at age 65.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Welsh Guards.¹

     Major Roger Cyril Hans Sloane Stanley lived at Paultons, Romsey, Hampshire, England^G.¹
