     Colonel Alexander Fairlie Dobbs was born on 1 November 1839.² He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Richard Stewart Dobbs and Jane Margaret Cathcart.² He married Marianne Gage, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Ezekiel Gage and Maria Dobbs, in 1871.¹ He died on 27 April 1912 at age 72.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 60th Rifles.² He gained the rank of officer in the 23rd Madras Staff Infantry.¹ He was Judicial Superintendent Railways on the Great India Peninsula and Nizam's Railways.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Madras Staff Corps.² He lived at Fernwood, Coonoor, India^G.²

     Catherine Gage was born on 6 November 1854.¹ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Ezekiel Gage and Maria Dobbs.² She married Colonel Alexander Sinclair Grove, son of Major Henry Jones Grove and Mary Anne Sinclair, on 3 September 1873.¹ She died on 18 July 1918 at age 63.²
     Catherine Gage also went by the nick-name of Kitty.² From 3 September 1873, her married name became Grove.

     Major Henry Jones Grove was born in 1783.² He is the son of Leslie Grove and Sarah Mercer.² He married, firstly, Sarah Northover Watts Pitt.² He married Mary Anne Sinclair, daughter of Captain unknown Sinclair.² He died in March 1847.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the 80th Regiment of Foot.² He was appointed Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.)²

     Colonel Alexander Sinclair Grove was born on 23 April 1840.² He is the son of Major Henry Jones Grove and Mary Anne Sinclair.² He married Catherine Gage, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Ezekiel Gage and Maria Dobbs, on 3 September 1873.¹ He died on 13 September 1897 at age 57.²
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)³ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Madras Staff Corps.¹

     Amy Boyd Gage was born on 31 May 1868.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Ezekiel Gage and Maria Dobbs.² He died on 6 December 1870 at age 2, at sea en route to India.¹

     Ezekiel Hugh Gage was born on 12 October 1896.¹ He was the son of Captain Richard Stewart Gage and Norah Lillian Grimshaw.^2,1 He died on 19 June 1931 at age 34, unmarried.¹

     Sir John Oglander was born in 1585.¹ He was the son of Sir William Oglander and Ann Dillington.^1,2 He married Francis More, daughter of Sir George More.² He died in 1655.¹

     Sir William Oglander was the son of Sir George Oglander and Alice Hamond.^1,2 He married Ann Dillington, daughter of Anthony Dillington.² He died in 1609.¹
