Charlotte Margaretta Molyneux-Montgomerie was the daughter of George Molyneux-Montgomerie.2 She married Francis Carleton, son of John Carleton and Elizabeth Hodgson, on 9 September 1809.1 She died in December 1874.1

General Henry Alexander Carleton was born on 28 February 1814.2 He was the son of Francis Carleton and Charlotte Margaretta Molyneux-Montgomerie.3 He married Elizabeth Boyle, daughter of Armor Boyle, on 22 December 1855.2 He died on 22 February 1900 at age 85.2
He was educated at Addiscombe Military College, Addiscombe, London, EnglandG.2 He was commissioned in 1830, in the service of the Bengal Artillery.2 In 1851 he served (with Sir Colin Campbell) in Peshawar Valley against Momunds.2 He gained the rank of officer after 1857 in the Royal Artillery.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1858.2 He fought in the Siege and Capture of Lucknow in 1858, where he commanded a Division.2 He was present at action of Nawab Gunge (under Sir Hope Grant.)2 He was Colonel Commandant of the Royal Artillery.2 He gained the rank of General in the Royal Artillery.4 He lived at Clare, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 He lived at Greenfields, County Cork, IrelandG.2
