     Theobald Butler was the son of Thomas Butler and Jane O'Meagher.2,1 He died in 1826, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Officer in the 57th Foot.1

     Alice Scully is the daughter of Roger Scully.2 She married John Butler, son of Thomas Butler and Jane O'Meagher, in 1781.1
     She lived at Dualla, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 She lived at Kilfeacle, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 From 1781, her married name became Butler.

     Thomas Butler was born in 1782.1 He was the son of John Butler and Alice Scully.2 He married Margaret Barry, daughter of Standish Barry, in 1813.1 He died in 1863.1
     He lived at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He lived at Ballycarron, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1

     Margaret Barry was the daughter of Standish Barry.2 She married Thomas Butler, son of John Butler and Alice Scully, in 1813.1 She died in 1875.1
     From 1813, her married name became Butler.

John Butler1

     John Butler was the son of Thomas Butler and Margaret Barry.2 He died in 1875, apparently from grief at his mother's demise, unmarried.1
     He joined with his father to break the entail on Ballycarron.1 He lived at Ballycarron, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1

Maj.-Gen. Henry Butler1

     Maj.-Gen. Henry Butler was born on 29 February 1828.1 He was the son of Thomas Butler and Margaret Barry.2 He died on 10 May 1907 at age 79, unmarried.1
     He fought in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1855, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Legion d'Honneur.1 Between 1861 and 1865 New Zealand Wars.1 His life was saved by a soldier who was awarded the Victoria Cross.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1905.1
