William Fitzwilliam Burton was born on 22 September 1796.1 He was the son of Benjamin Burton and Anne Mainwaring.2 He married, firstly, Mary Power, daughter of Sir John Power, 1st Bt. and Harriett Bushe, on 18 July 1825.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Mary Browne, daughter of William Browne and Lady Charlotte Bourke, on 5 October 1840.2 He died on 15 November 1844 at age 48.2
