     Ella Mayhew was the daughter of Colonel William Augustin John Mayhew.2 She married Lt.-Col. Sir Joseph Fayrer, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens, on 30 December 1890.1 She died on 1 April 1952.1
     From 30 December 1890, her married name became Fayrer.

     Sir Joseph Herbert Spens Fayrer, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 October 1899.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Joseph Fayrer, 2nd Bt. and Ella Mayhew.2 He married, firstly, Mary Elizabeth Dulcibel Vaudrey-Barker-Mill, daughter of Captain William Claude Frederick Vaudrey-Barker-Mill and Hon. Mary Brenda Nepenthe Collins, on 2 November 1926.1 He and Mary Elizabeth Dulcibel Vaudrey-Barker-Mill were divorced in 1936 at ScotlandG.1 He married, secondly, Helen Diane Scott Lang, daughter of Captain John Lang, on 5 August 1939.1 He married, thirdly, Noreen Walker, daughter of Reverend John Yuill Walker, on 5 November 1964.1 He died on 23 July 1976 at age 76.1,3
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Fayrer, of Devonshire Street, St. Marylebone [U.K., 1896] on 13 April 1937.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1941.1
