Michael Francis Vandeleur Cubitt was born on 18 September 1920.2 He is the son of Major Charles Cyril Cubitt and Gladys Louisa Violet Crake.3,2 He married Lavinia Marie French, daughter of Hon. Bertram Leo French and Maud Mary Dease, on 8 October 1968.1
