     Abraham Shackleton was born on 8 December 1752 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Richard Shackleton and Elizabeth Fuller.¹ He married Lydia Mellor, daughter of Ebenezer Mellor and Margaret Abraham, on 23 February 1779.¹ He died on 2 August 1818 at age 65.

     Lydia Mellor was born on 3 April 1749 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.² She was the daughter of Ebenezer Mellor and Margaret Abraham.¹ She married Abraham Shackleton, son of Richard Shackleton and Elizabeth Fuller, on 23 February 1779.¹ She died on 5 February 1829 at age 79 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland.^1,2
     From 23 February 1779, her married name became Shackleton.

     Richard Shackleton was born on 28 November 1779 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor.¹ He married Mary Ann Mark, daughter of John Mark, on 11 June 1844.¹ He died on 21 June 1860 at age 80, without issue.¹

     Mary Ann Mark was born circa 1802. She was the daughter of John Mark.¹ She married Richard Shackleton, son of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor, on 11 June 1844.¹ She died on 30 August 1856.¹
     From 11 June 1844, her married name became Shackleton.

     Margaret Shackleton was born on 6 October 1780 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor.¹ She died on 17 March 1790 at age 9.¹

     Gertrude Alice Shackleton was born on 24 November 1872 at Kilkea, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Shackleton and Henrietta Letitia Sophia Gavan. She died on 20 September 1938 at age 65, unmarried.¹

     Elizabeth Shackleton was born on 23 March 1783 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor.¹ She died on 9 March 1843 at age 59, unmarried.¹

     Deborah Leadbeater was born on 15 August 1795 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland.² She was the daughter of William Leadbeater and Mary Shackleton.¹ She married Ebenezer Shackleton, son of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor, in 1812 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^1,2 She died on 12 January 1829 at age 33.¹
     From 1812, her married name became Shackleton.

     George Shackleton was born on 21 August 1785 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor.¹ He married Hannah Fisher, daughter of Joseph Fisher, on 14 August 1823.¹ He died on 1 July 1871 at age 85.¹
     He lived at Griesemount, Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland.¹
