Charles Bennet, 4th Earl of Tankerville was born on 15 November 1743.1 He was the son of Charles Bennet, 3rd Earl of Tankerville and Alicia Astley.1 He married Emma Colebrooke, daughter of Sir James Colebrooke, 1st Bt. and Mary Skynner, on 7 October 1771.1 He died on 10 December 1822 at age 79.1
