     Susan Anne Beresford was born in 1811 at Ireland.² She was the daughter of Rev. Hon. George Beresford and Susan Gorges.¹ She married, firstly, Matthew O'Reilly on 8 February 1830.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Gerald Stephen FitzGerald, son of Vice-Admiral Sir Robert Lewis FitzGerald and Jane Welch, on 2 June 1842 at Templeport, County Cavan, Ireland.^1,2 She died on 27 December 1881.¹
     From 8 February 1830, her married name became O'Reilly. From 2 June 1842, her married name became FitzGerald.

     Matthew O'Reilly married Susan Anne Beresford, daughter of Rev. Hon. George Beresford and Susan Gorges, on 8 February 1830.¹ He died on 10 June 1841.¹

     Rev. Hon. William Beresford was born on 20 November 1780.¹ He was the son of William Beresford, 1st Baron Decies and Elizabeth FitzGibbon.¹ He married Lady Anna Bennet, daughter of Charles Bennet, 4th Earl of Tankerville and Emma Colebrooke, on 19 July 1804.¹ He died on 27 June 1830 at age 49.¹

     Lady Anna Bennet was born on 28 April 1774.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Bennet, 4th Earl of Tankerville and Emma Colebrooke.³ She married Rev. Hon. William Beresford, son of William Beresford, 1st Baron Decies and Elizabeth FitzGibbon, on 19 July 1804.³ She died in September 1836 at age 62.³
     Her married name became Beresford.

     Charles Bennet, 4th Earl of Tankerville was born on 15 November 1743.¹ He was the son of Charles Bennet, 3rd Earl of Tankerville and Alicia Astley.¹ He married Emma Colebrooke, daughter of Sir James Colebrooke, 1st Bt. and Mary Skynner, on 7 October 1771.¹ He died on 10 December 1822 at age 79.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Tankerville [G.B., 1714] on 27 October 1767.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Ossulston, of Ossulston, co. Middlesex [E., 1682] on 27 October 1767.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1782.¹ He held the office of Joint Postmaster-General from 1782 to 1783.¹ He held the office of Joint Postmaster-General between 1784 and 1786.¹

     Emma Colebrooke was born in 1752. She was the daughter of Sir James Colebrooke, 1st Bt. and Mary Skynner.¹ She married Charles Bennet, 4th Earl of Tankerville, son of Charles Bennet, 3rd Earl of Tankerville and Alicia Astley, on 7 October 1771.³ She died on 20 November 1836.³
     From 7 October 1771, her married name became Bennet. After her marriage, Emma Colebrooke was styled as Countess of Tankerville on 7 October 1771.¹

     Sir James Colebrooke, 1st Bt. was born in 1722.² He was the son of James Colebrooke and Mary Hudson.² He married Mary Skynner, daughter of Stephen Skynner and Mary Remington, in May 1747.² He died on 10 May 1761.²
     He was appointed Knight.² He was created 1st Baronet Colebrooke, of Gatton, co. Surrey [Great Britain] on 12 October 1759, with a special remainder to his brother, George.²

     Captain William Henry Beresford was born in 1810.¹ He was the son of Rev. Hon. William Beresford and Lady Anna Bennet.¹ He married Emma Catherine Lawrence on 10 July 1850.¹ He died on 26 February 1875.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹
