Patrick Dermott Crofton was born on 29 May 1935.1 He was the son of Dermott Kenneth Crofton and Doris Livingstone Taylor.2 He married Patricia Judith Mary Williams, daughter of Captain Trevor Williams, on 9 August 1958.1 He died on 5 January 2016 at age 80.3
