General Sir Thomas Westropp McMahon, 3rd Bt. was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Thomas McMahon, 2nd Bt. and Emily Anne Westropp.2 He married, firstly, Dora Paulina Baillie, daughter of Evan Hamilton Baillie, on 7 October 1851.1 He married, secondly, Frances Mary Holford, daughter of John Holford and Ann Shaw, on 13 January 1859.1 He married, thirdly, Constance Marianne Langford, daughter of Captain Netherton Langford, on 14 August 1888.1 He died on 23 January 1892.1
He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He fought in the Battle of Sobraon on 10 February 1846.1 He was commander of the Cavalry Brigade, Aldershot.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 18th Hussars.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 5th Dragoon Guards.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet McMahon [U.K., 1817] on 10 April 1860.1 He was Inspector-General of Cavalry.1

Frances Mary Holford was born circa 1838 at Rusholme Hall, Manchester, Lancashire, England.2 She was the daughter of John Holford and Ann Shaw.2 She married General Sir Thomas Westropp McMahon, 3rd Bt., son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Thomas McMahon, 2nd Bt. and Emily Anne Westropp, on 13 January 1859.1 She died on 14 April 1867.1
