     Sir James Samuel William Lake, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir James Winter Lake, 3rd Bt. and Joyce Crowther.² He married Maria Turner, daughter of Samuel Turner and Anne Athill, on 24 July 1804 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England^G.² He died on 4 November 1832 at Ramsgate, Kent, England^G.² He was buried at St. George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent, England^G.²
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Lake, of Edmonton, Middlesex [G.B., 1711] on 24 April 1807.³

     Jessie Isabel Curtis was the daughter of Sir William Curtis, 2nd Bt. and Mary Anne Lear.² She married Captain Robert George Tufnell, son of Reverend George Tufnell, on 6 March 1860.¹ She died on 9 May 1876, leaving issue.¹
     From 6 March 1860, her married name became Tufnell.¹
