Robert Shirley, Viscount Tamworth was born on 28 December 1692.2 He was the son of Hon. Robert Shirley and Anne Ferrers.3 He died on 5 July 1714 at age 21, from small pox, unmarried.1

Mary Meredith is the daughter of Amos Meredith and Joanna Cholmondeley.1 She married, firstly, Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers, son of Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges, on 16 September 1752.1 She and Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers were divorced on 20 June 1758 due to his cruelty.1 She married, secondly, Lord Frederick Campbell, son of Hon. John Campbell and Elizabeth Elphinstone, after 1758.1
After her marriage, Mary Meredith was styled as Countess Ferrers on 16 September 1752. From 16 September 1752, her married name became Shirley.1 From after 1758, her married name became Campbell.1

Lady Elizabeth Shirley was born in 1704.2 She was the daughter of Washington Shirley, 2nd Earl Ferrers and Mary Levinge.3 She married Joseph Gascoigne Nightingale, son of Reverend Joseph Gascoigne and Anne Theobald, on 24 June 1725.1 She died on 17 August 1731.2
