     Hilda Stevenson was the daughter of James Cochran Stevenson.3 She married Walter Runciman, 1st Viscount Runciman of Doxford, son of Walter Runciman, 1st Baron Runciman and Ann Margaret Lawson, on 23 August 1898.1 She died on 28 October 1956.1
     From 23 August 1898, her married name became Runciman.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County London.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1 She held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Ives, Cornwall between 1928 and 1929.1 After her marriage, Hilda Stevenson was styled as Viscountess Runciman of Doxford on 10 June 1937.

     Charles Andrew Gladstone of Fasque and Balfour was born on 28 October 1888.1 He was the son of Reverend Stephen Edward Gladstone and Annie Crosthwaite Wilson.2 He married Isla Margaret Erskine Crum, daughter of Sir Walter Erskine Crum, on 3 January 1925.1 He died on 28 April 1968 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1911 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a master between 1912 and 1946 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he attached to the Royal Flying Corps, and became a POW.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire between 1948 and 1968.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Flintshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1951.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Gladstone, of Fasque and Balfour, co. Kincardine [U.K., 1846] on 2 March 1967.1 He proved his claim to the baronetcy but did not use the title.1
