     William Chartres was the son of William Chartres and Ann (?)2 He married, firstly, Mary Hoare.1 He married, secondly, Mary Connell, daughter of John Connell, in 1692.1 He died in 1724.1
     He was a merchant.1 He lived at Cork, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He held the office of Mayor of Cork in 1692.1

     John FitzGerald married Mary Barry, daughter of Patrick James Barry and Rebecca Chartres.1 He died in 1820, in goal 'after a 36 year sentence'.1
     He had three sons (who all died without issue) and three daughters (all unmarried.)1
