Sir Nicholas Osborne, 6th Bt. was the son of Nicholas Osborne and Anne Parsons.2 He married Mary Smyth, daughter of Rt. Rev. Thomas Smyth, in 1709.2 He died on 13 January 1718/19, without male issue.2
He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Osborne, of Ballintaylor and Ballylemon, co. Waterford [I., 1629] on 10 October 1715.2

Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort was born in 1768.1 He was the son of Thomas Vereker and Juliana Smyth.2 He married, firstly, Jane Westropp, daughter of Ralph Westropp and Mary Johnson, on 7 November 1789.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Palliser, daughter of John Palliser and Grace Barton, on 5 March 1810.1 He died on 11 November 1842.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick between 1794 and 1800.1 On 5 September 1798 he defeated French forces under General Humbert at Killala Bay, County Sligo, near Coloony.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick between 1802 and 1817.1 He held the office of Lord of Treasury between 1807 and 1812.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1809.1 He held the office of Constable of Limerick Castle between 1809 and 1842.1 He held the office of Governor of County Galway between 1814 and 1831.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Kiltarton of Gort, co. John Westropp was the son of Mountiford Westropp and Elizabeth Bury.2 He married Mary Taylor, daughter of Berkeley Taylor, in 1734.2 He died in 1781, when he devised Attyflin to his cousin, without issue.2
