     Margaret Croker was the daughter of Edward Croker and Margaret Anne Hare.^1,2 She married Very Rev. Richard Bagwell, son of Colonel John Bagwell and Mary Hare, in 1808.¹ She died in 1825.¹
     From 1808, her married name became Bagwell.¹

     Edward Croker was the son of John Croker and Mary Pennefather.² He married Margaret Anne Hare, daughter of Richard Hare and Catherine Maylor, in 1783.²
     He lived at Ballynagarde, County Limerick, Ireland^G.¹

     John Bagwell was born on 3 April 1811.² He was the son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker.¹ He married Hon. Frances Eliza Prittie, daughter of Hon. Francis Aldborough Prittie and Elizabeth Ponsonby, on 21 June 1838.² He died on 2 March 1883 at age 71.² He was also reported to have died on 10 March 1883.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tipperary in 1834.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clonmel between 1857 and 1874.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tipperary.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tipperary.² He lived at Marlfield, Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.²

     Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy was born on 2 August 1819.¹ He was the son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker.¹ He married, firstly, Isabella Petronella Langley, daughter of Major Henry Langley, on 10 July 1854 in a childless marriage.¹ He married, secondly, Charlotte Wilkinson, daughter of John Green Wilkinson, on 20 July 1861.¹ He died on 2 July 1883 at age 63.¹
     He was given the name of Edward Bagwell at birth.¹ He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Dragoon Guards.¹ His name was legally changed to Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy by Royal Licence on 5 April 1847, after he succeeded to the estate of Colonel Purefoy, who died in 1846.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Vice-Lieutenant.¹ He gained the rank of honorary Colonel in the County Tipperary Artillery Militia.¹ He lived at Greenfields, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Isabella Petronella Langley was the daughter of Major Henry Langley.¹ She married Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy, son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker, on 10 July 1854 in a childless marriage.¹ She died in 1859.¹
     From 10 July 1854, her married name became Bagwell-Purefoy.¹

     Major Henry Langley lived at Brittas Castle, Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Charlotte Wilkinson was the daughter of John Green Wilkinson.¹ She married Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy, son of Very Rev. Richard Bagwell and Margaret Croker, on 20 July 1861.¹ She died in November 1881.¹
     From 20 July 1861, her married name became Bagwell-Purefoy.¹

     John Green Wilkinson held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Lieutenant Wilfred Bagwell-Purefoy was born on 13 June 1862.¹ He was the son of Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy and Charlotte Wilkinson.¹ He died on 10 March 1930 at age 67, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd King's Own Hussars.¹ He lived at Greenfields, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Captain Henry John Bagwell-Purefoy was born on 26 August 1864.¹ He was the son of Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy and Charlotte Wilkinson.¹ He died in December 1917 at age 53, as the result of a gun accident, he was unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Dragoon Guards.¹
