Arundel Cotter was born on 24 July 1912.¹ He was the son of Major Arundel John Plunkett Cotter and Emma Stothard Carter.² He married, firstly, Madelyn Mitchell, daughter of Forest Mitchell, on 2 January 1942.¹ He and Madelyn Mitchell were divorced in 1952.¹ He married, secondly, Gabrielle Pauline Tarter, daughter of Harry Tarter.¹ He died in November 1973 at age 61 at New York, U.S.A.³
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the U.S. Army.¹
