Major William Caldbeck Roper-Caldbeck was born on 28 January 1855.1 He was the son of Thomas Roper and Dora Caldbeck.2 He married Alice Mary Young, daughter of Jasper Young and Julia C. (?), on 1 December 1898 at Kensington, London, EnglandG.1,3 He died on 26 December 1936 at age 81.1
