Rt. Rev. George Edward Lynch Cotton was born on 29 October 1813.1 He was the son of Thomas Davenant Cotton and Mary Burnley.2 He married Sophia Ann Tomkinson, daughter of Reverend Henry Tomkinson, on 26 June 1845.1 He died on 6 October 1866 at age 52.1

George Henry Coleridge Cotton was the son of Colonel Sir Edward Thomas Davenant Cotton-Jodrell and Mary Rennell Coleridge.2 He died in 1882, as an infant.1
