     Maria Abernethy is the daughter of Alexander Abernethy of that Ilk.² She married, firstly, Sir Andrew de Leslie of Leslie, son of Norman Leslie, 1st of Leslie, in 1313.¹ She married, secondly, Sir David de Lindsay of Crawford, son of Sir Alexander de Lindsay, circa 1325.¹
     She lived at Cossington, Leicestershire, England^G.² From 1313, her married name became Leslie.¹

     Henry Ralph Chichester was born on 11 January 1977.² He is the son of Gerarld Balfour Chichester and Jane Margaret Stockley.¹ He married Alice Sarah Verney, daughter of Harry Ulick Dennis Verney and Sarah Fane Ricketts.¹

     Robert Colville of Cleish was the son of Robert Colville of Cleish and Francesca Colquhoun.² He married Margaret Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, 6th of Dowhill and Marjory Stewart.¹ He died in 1584.²

     Sir William de Lindsay of the Byres was the son of Sir David de Lindsay of Crawford and Maria Abernethy.¹ He married Christiana Mure, daughter of Sir William Mure.² He died circa 1 July 1393.²
     On 17 January 1365/66 he was granted by charter the Byres, Haddingtonshire.²
