Egidia Stewart1

     Egidia Stewart was the daughter of Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland and Isabella Graham.1 She married, firstly, Sir James de Lindsay of Crawford, son of Sir David de Lindsay of Crawford and Maria Abernethy, on 21 April 1346.2 She married, secondly, Sir Hugh Eglinton of that Ilk after October 1357.1,3 She married by contract, thirdly, Sir James Douglas of Dalkeith, son of Sir John Douglas and Agnes (?), in October 1378.3 She died before 1406.1
     She was also known as Gille Stewart. From 21 April 1346, her married name became de Lindsay. From after October 1357, her married name became Eglinton.1,3 From October 1378, her married name became Douglas.

Sir James de Lindsay of Crawford1

     Sir James de Lindsay of Crawford was the son of Sir David de Lindsay of Crawford and Maria Abernethy.2 He married Egidia Stewart, daughter of Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland and Isabella Graham, on 21 April 1346.2 He died in 1357.1
     In 1351 he was a hostage for King David.2 He lived at Crawford, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1 He held the office of Scottish Ambassador to England in 1357.2

     Sir James Douglas of Dalkeith was the son of Sir John Douglas and Agnes (?)2 He married, firstly, Lady Agnes Dunbar, daughter of Patrick de Dunbar, 8th Earl of Dunbar and Ermengarde (?), on 21 November 1372.1,2 He married by contract, secondly, Egidia Stewart, daughter of Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland and Isabella Graham, in October 1378.3 He died in 1420.2
     He lived at Dalkeith, ScotlandG.4

     General Hon. Sir Augustus Almeric Spencer was born on 25 March 1807.1 He was the son of Francis Almeric Spencer, 1st Baron Churchill of Whichwood and Lady Frances FitzRoy.1 He married Helen Maria Campbell, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Archibald Campbell, 1st Bt., on 6 February 1836.1 He died on 28 August 1893 at age 86.1
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1 He gained the rank of General in the British Army.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 96th Foot.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Oxfordshire Light Infantry.1 He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He fought in the Battle of Alma in September 1854, commanding the 44th Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Inkerman on 5 November 1854, commanding the 44th Regiment.1 He was awarded the Order of the Medjidie.1 He fought in the Siege of Sebastopol.1
