     Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart was born on 27 December 1828.¹ He was the son of Hon. Andrew Godfrey Stewart and Sophia Isabella Lenox-Conyngham.² He married Louisa Frances Burton, daughter of Edmund Singer Burton, on 24 May 1855.¹ He died on 20 August 1875 at age 46.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 17th Madras Native Infantry.¹

     Louisa Frances Burton was the daughter of Edmund Singer Burton.² She married Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart, son of Hon. Andrew Godfrey Stewart and Sophia Isabella Lenox-Conyngham, on 24 May 1855.¹ She died in 1911.¹
     From 24 May 1855, her married name became Stuart.

     Andrew Edmund Castle Stuart Stuart was born on 24 November 1856.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart and Louisa Frances Burton.² He married Mary Agnes Josephine Ruth Kennedy, daughter of Peter Kennedy, on 2 October 1879.¹ He died on 12 September 1936 at age 79.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.)¹ He was with the Board of Revenue, Indian Civil Service at Madras, India^G.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Geological Society (F.G.S.)¹

     Peter Kennedy lived at Malahide, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary Agnes Josephine Ruth Kennedy was the daughter of Peter Kennedy.² She married Andrew Edmund Castle Stuart Stuart, son of Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart and Louisa Frances Burton, on 2 October 1879.¹ She died in 1944.¹
     From 2 October 1879, her married name became Stuart.

     Sarah Roberts was born in 1780 at Chertsey, Surrey, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Roberts and Sarah Fry.¹

     William Bacon Curtis was born in 1788 at Norfolk, England^G.¹ He was the son of Robert Curtis and Mary Bacon.¹ He died on 29 October 1847 at London, England^G.¹

     Alan Lenox Conyngham Stuart was born on 18 July 1863.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart and Louisa Frances Burton.² He married Marion Charlotte Robins, daughter of Herbert Robins, in 1908.¹ He died on 18 December 1938 at age 75.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He held the office of Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court [Cyprus].¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He fought in the Ashanti War in 1900.¹ He held the office of District Commissioner, Gold Coast.¹
